Linzford – Nick Lloyd (1990)

Ancaster hard white limestone. The title refers to the place in the Derwent Valley where the artist lives and works. Nick Lloyd first showed Lintzford in the Gateshead Garden Festival. The work looks as if it is made up of the remains of a building.

However the artist describes the work as portraying the countryside of Northumberland and Durham. Nick Lloyd continues to be a member of the Newcastle group of artists
